About the Role
The Senior Path Planning Software Engineer will be responsible for researching and developing innovative algorithms that solve motion planning problems for both on-road and off-road autonomous driving. This includes behavior planning with uncertainty and trajectory optimization. The successful candidate will also collaborate with engineers across localization, perception, prediction, machine learning, mapping, and infrastructure to conduct system integration and tests.
This role requires strong C programming and software design skills, as well as knowledge of data structures, graph theory, planning algorithms, and physics (vehicle dynamics). A Master's or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, Math/Statistics, or other related fields, or 3 years of experience working with autonomous vehicles is necessary.
