Job Title : Senior Data Scientist Overview : Our customer is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science with a generalist approach, proficient in Python and SQL, and experience in data engineering and transformation. This role offers the opportunity for long-term engagement, with the potential for multiple years of extension. Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement data science models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. Perform data engineering tasks, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Utilize Python and SQL to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science solutions. Assist in deploying data science solutions into production with the support of the existing team. Continuously monitor and improve the performance of data science models. Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data science and apply them to ongoing projects. Qualifications : Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a generalist approach. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL. Experience in data engineering and transformation. Ability to work onsite in Downtown Houston 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications : Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
