What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Teaching Fellow position at ROBS?
River Oaks Baptist School is seeking a Teaching Fellow to join our Middle School Team beginning August 2025.
The Middle School Fellow will teach under the supervision of a department head or other mentor teacher. Depending on the teaching assignments, the Fellow will co-plan classes with the department head and/or teacher. The Middle School Fellow will work in various classrooms over the year to support teachers in various disciplines.

- Teach students in multiple classrooms

- Support multiple teachers in all aspects of curriculum, instruction, and classroom management
- Employ current pedagogies, including project-based learning and design thinking
- Deliver innovative curriculum that integrates technology intentionally and appropriately
- Participate collaboratively in grade-level, divisional, and all-school teams
- Display cultural competence in teaching and teamwork
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, initiative, and self-reflection
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree
- Teaching certification required
- A vibrant Christian faith and a desire to work in a Christian environment
- Successful completion of reference and background checks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience preferred
