This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.
Roby Elementary School is seeking a caregiver with exemplary bookkeeping and technology skills who also serves as the secretary to the principal and office manager. A successful candidate will be:

-Leads clerical work over summer break (assist families with registration, prepare first day paperwork)
-Lead/co-lead laying out materials for staff/community events

-Able to prioritize duties when serving the needs of students, parents, teachers, and staff while also completing required bookkeeping duties
-Knowledge of SBDM and School Activitiy Funds budgets
-Knowledge of Red Book rules and regulations
-Knowledge of MUNIS and district bookkeeping system
-Knowledge of payroll procedures for both certified and classified staff including Veritime
-Knowledge of school inventory procedures
-Knowledge of all purchasing requirements of the district
-Knowledge of district procedures and policies
-Knowledge of maintaining and using computer, printer, multi-line phone system, fax machine, copier, laminator, poster maker
-Be regular in attendance and punctual
-Willing to take on extra duties including, but not limited to, monitoring of the school's AED, giving medication to students, and other duties as assigned by the principal.
This position is 7.5 hours per day and 205 days per year.
(170 student instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 24 extended days)
Contracted days will be adjusted based upon start date.

- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.
- Three years of office, secretarial and bookkeeping experience required.
Step 0: $16.54
Step 10: $20.21
New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)
Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks. This position is considered a eleven month employee on the pay schedule. 3 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
