High-Growth PE-Backed Business | Hybrid in Austin or Remote (Central Time) 🚨

I'm partnering with a rapidly scaling, private equity-backed company and we're on the hunt for a strategic, operations-minded Director of Finance to join their high-impact team. The organization is in a very interesting industry that is directly related to these large data centers we have all been hearing more and more about!

📍 Location: Hybrid in Austin with occasional travel

Comp: Up to $175kbase 10–20% bonus)

• Not your typical finance gig. This is about partnering with operations — building scalable models, finding cost-saving opportunities, and being hands-on in a people-heavy, tool-intensive production environment- but it's not exactly what you may be thinking....

• Career launchpad. This business leader has had 5 successful exits personally and has worked extensively in midmarket with high growth companies, restructuring & building teams- consistently taking their best people along for the ride!
• Private Equity Growth Story. Company is Backed by a PE firm with many successful exits & is poised to grow by ~65% over the next year

Who We're Looking For:

• ~7–15 years of experience, ideally with a blend of FP&A operational finance & experience working with PE backed companies. If you came up through Public Accounting, always a plus!
• You have worked in companies of excellence and continuous improvement- & you often lead the charge- when you see something, you say something, and then you DO something about it! (Private Equity backed environments ideal)
• Experience supporting labor intensive businesses, multi-shift/multi-location environments (bonus if it’s in manufacturing, production, industrial ops, or services with multi-site locations).
• Experience with advanced Excel & Power BI a MUST, and Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus
• Someone who chases the "why," not just the what. You’re not a reporting jockey — you drive decisions.
• You aren't here to just collect a paycheck- you take ownership! You want to dig in, learn the business, how all the parts work together, and understand what KPIs & Operational efficiencies make sense to implement that will directly impact the business!
• You are a self-starter that doesn’t wait around for work to be handed to you, you seek out the areas that need improvement and you make the needed suggestions to leadership to help move the needle
• You’re not just curious—you’re relentlessly proactive. You don’t wait for data—you go get it. You ask the right questions, partner across departments, and create clarity in complexity. If a model’s incomplete or a KPI’s missing, you build the next version.
• You can work autonomously, fast-paced, and you have been known to be gritty — you want to be part of a team that gets sh*t done!
