Pipeline Technician

ROC Service Company is looking for a motivated Pipeline Technician / Pigger to join their growing and employee-friendly team!

Essential Functions:

• Responsible inspecting and maintaining pipelines, launchers and receivers.
• Duties include cleaning debris and accumulated liquids, to conduct inspections, and to remove residual product from the pipeline between product transfer operations.
• Launching, receiving and inspecting pigs.
• Maintenance of launchers and receivers.
• Driving designated routes according to customer requirements.
• Become familiar with or learn customer programs as specified.
• Complete field operations in accordance with ROC Service Company EHS policies and procedures.
• Become familiar with general oil and gas construction and maintenance.
• Maintain good interpersonal and customer relationships.
• Become familiar with hand tools required for general construction and general maintenance jobs.
• Make certain that all required personal protective equipment is being used.
• Ensure all JSEA’s are completed at the beginning of each shift change out and that a JSEA will be completed when the job scope changes.
• Ensure that all procedures are followed to avoid accidents, damage to equipment, and harm to the environment or any other personnel.
• Immediately report all incidents to the EHS group.
• Perform any other labor functions as directed.

Required skills and qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle if necessary.
• Confined space certification if necessary (training will be provided).
• Preferred experience in gas processing facility work, production facility work, or manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to adapt and be a team player in various environments and situations (service environment).
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and work well in a fast paced, evolving organization.
• Willing/able to work in all weather conditions.
• Self-motivated and able to remain productive without immediate supervision present.
