The Opportunity

You are responsible for conducting research, development and manufacturing laboratory experimentation as well as other scientific activities to support Ventana projects. You exercise technical expertise and discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies.

Also, you are:

• Designing experimental protocols with minimal supervision, executing bench experiments; making detailed and general observations and analyzing data. You expect to normally receive general directions on routine work and detailed directions on new assignments.
• Preparing technical reports, summaries and quantitative analyses. Prepares and presents experimental procedures and results in group and project teams. Maintaining complete and accurate records.
• Troubleshoots problems and institutes corrective action. Makes suggestions to improve work processes and laboratory environment.
• Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Works on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• A project team member, suggesting creative solutions to problems and providing input to project planning. May participate in cross-functional technical teams such as a failure investigation team.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of of relevant work experience is required
• Knows basic and a range of specialized laboratory techniques.
• Capable with searching scientific literature to gain information about specific topics.
• Skilled with use of word processing, spreadsheets, graphical and presentation software applications.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson is 57,000 - 105,800.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
