The Position
Summary:
In the antibody engineering (AE) group, CICoR, We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to assist in the development of a yeast-based switchable display/secretion system. The successful candidate will work closely with our R&D team to perform yeast genetic modifications and develop assays in a microfluidic system. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Hands-on experience in a leading biotechnological research environment.

The Position
Summary:
In the antibody engineering (AE) group, CICoR, We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to assist in the development of a yeast-based switchable display/secretion system. The successful candidate will work closely with our R&D team to perform yeast genetic modifications and develop assays in a microfluidic system. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Yeast Genetic Modification:
- Conduct genetic engineering of yeast strains for the display and secretion of target molecules
- Implement CRISPR/Cas9 and other genetic tools to modify yeast genomes
- Development of Yeast-Based Systems:
- Assist in establishing a switchable yeast display/secretion system
- Evaluate and optimize system parameters for enhanced performance
- Microfluidic Assay Development:
- Develop and validate assays using yeast display/secretion
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze experimental data and maintain accurate records
- Prepare reports and present findings to the R&D team
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related field
- Basic knowledge of molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, and sequencing
- Familiarity with yeast biology and genetic manipulation
- Experience with microfluidic systems is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- A keen interest in biotechnology and cutting-edge research
- Eagerness to learn and apply new techniques
