Internal Manufacturing Indianapolis is a function within Roche Diagnostics - Near Patient Care Operations, responsible for the strip manufacturing of the majority of our blood glucose monitoring portfolio for the global demand of our patients.
Role Purpose
As Head of Equipment Performance - Controls you will lead a team of manufacturing engineers and have the responsibility to secure and further develop the performance of our manufacturing equipment for high volume production of diabetes care products for supply to our patients all over the world.
This role is based in Indianapolis, IN - relocation benefits will be provided
Responsibilities:
Lead a high performing team of manufacturing engineers
Ensure that the availability of the production facilities is optimal by managing and further developing technical equipment in manufacturing.
Ensure that the unit is actively and proactively developed. This relates, for example, to the establishment of new technologies as well as the appropriate recycling of technologies that are no longer required, the further development of work organization and cooperation with internal and external partners.
Responsible for ensuring that technical optimization projects, procurements of new equipment and maintenance projects are proposed and fully executed.
Accountable for new machines and processes and transfer development know-how.
Maintain a cross-site network with technical expertise and support partnership and exchange with other technical units.
Be an active coach and mentor to members of the team to help them grow and progress in their career
Nurture and develop an empowered, knowledgeable, effective and efficient group of subject matter experts (SMEs) within the team with the capabilities to support Roche Diabetes Care’s efforts with best-in-class expertise.

Requirements:
Bachelor degree in relevant area of study. Master degree preferred
7 years experience in the manufacturing or operations related function
5 years experience in leadership positions
Demonstrated success in understanding complex scientific issues and effectively translating them into business success
Track record of making strategic decisions and aligning the organization behind them
Facilitated impactful presentations to senior management and the external environment
People management and talent development
Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams
MedTech industry or other high quality and regulatory industry knowledge
Communication and presentation skills
Able to lead and manage change
Influence and drive decisions across different hierarchy levels
Active management of conflicts, excellent communicator, strong leader and problem solver
Strong business sense, strategic and conceptual thinking
Preferred
Previous training or experience in Process Improvement Methodologies (e.g. LSS, PDCA, etc.)
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is $109,500 - $203,300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
