The Position
Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Support the lead of integrated access strategy team to drive cross-functional efforts within access team as well as business, medical, strategic planning and related divisional teams through the development and implementation of products' life-cycle access strategies including pre-launch/after-launch strategy, compelling and differentiated product-specific customer value propositions including multi-tier financing mechanism, reimbursement strategy for public financing, and channel strategy for patient access as an integrated and holistic access strategy
- Act as Access Business Partner to CE to design, coordinate access strategy and landing activities to support business success
- Collaborate with highly matrixed cross-functional teams within SRPL as well as global and Asia Pacific regional market access functions, lead local analysis or actively support regional or global projects that drive identification of market access insights across payers, policy makers, providers of healthcare services, physicians, and patients to inform comprehensive and inclusive access strategies and respective PRC initiatives
- Establish and maintain close relationship with external key stakeholders
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in applied scientific disciplines including but not limited to business administration, economics, finance, health policy, health economics, pharmacy administration or other relevant qualifications; advanced degree desirable
- Though the position is not a people manager, strong leadership is needed to lead cross functional team on strategy design and ensure the success of key access initiatives
- Four-year (Six-year for senior manager level) plus in positions of increasing responsibility and experience in strategic and operational pricing, reimbursement, or financing in pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostics, or commensurate experience in related healthcare industries or relevant consultancy companies
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing product-specific market access strategies including pricing, reimbursement, and channel planning preferred
- Strong knowledge of China market access environment at national, provincial, and local levels including public, private, and commercial dynamics preferred
- Knowledge of reimbursement schemes in different areas of the world desirable
- Strategic mindset and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work well in matrix environment and independently
- Ability to build strong cross-functional, regional, and global partnerships
- Project management skills to ensure cross functional strategic initiatives’ success
- Excellent oral and written skills; strong presentation and communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams
- Cross-country, regional, and global experience desirable
- Fluency in Chinese and English
