Come join the Roche Consulting organization as a national IT Workflow Consultant where you will leverage your expertise in laboratory medicine, laboratory operations, IT/middleware and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) to consult with clinical laboratory stakeholders and provide expert, strategic recommendations on their digital processes. You will provide advanced technical advice to support and deliver a variety of pre-sales and post-sales activities, including consultancy on IT/digital solution recommendations, implementation strategy, integration of laboratory systems and digital standardization.

The Opportunity:
Come join the Roche Consulting organization as a national IT Workflow Consultant where you will leverage your expertise in laboratory medicine, laboratory operations, IT/middleware and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) to consult with clinical laboratory stakeholders and provide expert, strategic recommendations on their digital processes. You will provide advanced technical advice to support and deliver a variety of pre-sales and post-sales activities, including consultancy on IT/digital solution recommendations, implementation strategy, integration of laboratory systems and digital standardization.
As an IT Workflow Consultant, you will:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and align on sales strategy for assigned consulting opportunities
- Follow a standardized end-to-end approach that creates evidence-based, differentiated value for the solution portfolio, both inside and outside the walls of the laboratory
- Conduct laboratory process analysis, develop solution proposal presentation, and deliver recommendations to assigned customers in close alignment with internal stakeholders
- Gather customer requirements in the sales phases and implementation phases with structured handoffs to IT implementation teams
- Assess customer lab workflows, IT data flows, and current testing environment which will drive Roche digital solution decisions
- Provide complex technical recommendations to customers and internal resources on operational aspects of the laboratory and digital solutions as it relates to post-live solution optimization
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Medical Technology, Life Sciences AND 4 years of laboratory IT, general IT, product line experience , OR
- 6 years experience of laboratory IT, general IT, product line experience
- 3 years of experience within the clinical chemistry laboratory as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist
- 2 years of experience working in or in close partnership with a clinical laboratory LIS department
- 2 years of management experience delivering and managing consulting services using Lean Six sigma or similar continuous improvement analytical tools/processes in a laboratory and/or healthcare setting
- Current or previous experience working for a clinical chemistry IVD vendor
- Highly proficient in communicating and presenting clear verbal and written technical information to both external and internal audiences with the ability to influence without authority
- Reside within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport and willing to travel approximately 50% or more, which includes overnight travel
- Reside on the West Coast of the US; preferably in one of the following states: WA, OR, or UT

Salary : $96,300 - $178,800
