As a Principal Scientist Operations, you will supervise the first shift Central Weigh sub-team within the Manufacturing Support area. Manages the schedule and work assignments of the staff (5-10 employees).

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Branchburg, NJ is $ 60,600.00 - 112,500.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The Opportunity
Staff Management and Development:
- Provides coaching, training, and development opportunities
- Offers ongoing, constructive and timely feedback on performance and progress
- Ensures accuracy, quality, and timeliness of activities
- Manages inventory of raw materials
- Ensures timely completion of projects, aligning activities with project critical path, and adapting to changing priorities
- Coordinates dispensing activities across shifts to meet production schedules
- Conveys critical information to management and provides consistent feedback to teams
- May represent the department as the primary contact on projects
- Prepares production documents, writes/revises SOPs, and monitors lab supply inventory
- Manages documentation in accordance with procedures and handles hazardous materials if necessary
- Serves as a resource to various departments, offering timely responses and follow-ups
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues creatively, exploring new solutions and methodologies
- Handles HR tasks such as hiring, performance feedback
- Manages attendance and employee grievances, ensuring alignment with project priorities
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field. Master’s Degree preferred
- You have 6 years relevant industry experience. 7 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
