Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead adaptive softball practices and games, working with individuals 14 years old with special needs
- Develop and implement effective coaching strategies and game plans
- Teach fundamental softball skills, techniques, and strategies
- Provide guidance and mentorship to players to help them improve their skills and reach their full potential
- Create a positive and supportive team environment
- Monitor player performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Ensure the safety of players during practices and games
- Promote good sportsmanship and teamwork among players
Qualifications:
- Experience with the special needs community
- Background in softball or baseball, either as a player or coach
- Knowledge of physical education principles and techniques
- Ability to perform physical activities related to coaching softball
- Familiarity with other related sports is a plus
- Experience working with players of different ages and skill levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage player behavior and maintain discipline during practices and games
