POSITION SUMMARY : The Grants and Contracts Administrator provides strategic leadership, supervision, and advancement for faculty and staff in the development and administration of externally funded grants, contracts, sponsorships, and related revenue opportunities to support RCU's priorities and mission. This position works collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and oversees the full lifecycle of grants, including pre-pre award, pre-award, and post-award processes. This position ensures compliance with funder requirements, facilitates the preparation of competitive proposals, manages awarded grants, and ensures proper reporting and closeout of funding. This position requires the abilities to work independently, problem-solve, and manage competing priorities and deadlines. The successful candidate is a leader who has the capacity to develop and work collaboratively with team members from various departments and has an in-depth knowledge of Excel and other Office products.
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree or higher preferred) and 3-5 years of grant administration experience, including pre-award and post-award processes, and / or higher-level financial activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Identify and evaluate potential grant opportunities from government agencies, private foundations, and other funding sources.
Lead the grant proposal process, including narrative writing, budget creation, and assembling required documents.
Review award documents and ensure terms and conditions are understood and communicated to stakeholders.
