What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructor of Business position at Rochester Community and Technical College?
Rochester Community and Technical College is accepting applications for an Unlimited, Full-time, Business Faculty position. This position is for Fall 2025, with a start date of August 19th. This will become unlimited upon completion of the required probationary period.
Duties Include:
· Deliver lecture and lab instruction.
· Participate in department and college curriculum development.
· Conduct classroom assessment and evaluation activities.
· Participate in committee assignments and college-wide initiatives.
· Engage in professional development activities.
· Advocate on behalf of students, program and college.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree with a major in business administration or business management or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in business administration/business management.
Preferred Qualification:
- Have postsecondary experience in teaching Business Management, and Marketing classes using a variety of delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on managerial or administrative experience in business.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business technology like data analysis tools, customer relationship management, digital marketing platforms (Google Ads or Analytics) and/or project management.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and assessment of student learning outcomes including experience implementing active learning strategies, such as business simulations, case studies, and community-based projects, to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Experience in work-based learning and collaborations with the community in creating experiential learning opportunities.
- Demonstrative ability to work effectively with a student population encompassing a broad range of skill levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to institutional service and leadership, including active participation in initiatives that enhance the college’s academic environment, student success, and/or community partnerships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
