SUMMARY
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you are key in the success of operations and compassionate patient care every day. The Licensed Practical Nurse is a key member of the care delivery team. The Licensed Practical Nurse communicates the needs of the patient and the team; collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, takes direction from the RN and delegates appropriately to the other members of the team.
Pulmonary
The Pulmonary Unit has 37 beds and provides care to patients with general medical conditions and patients with respiratory illnesses. The units specialize in the care of respiratory and general medical issues. This unit has the capacity to care for ventilator patients and telemetry monitoring, as well as other high-acuity respiratory conditions.

SCHEDULE: Evening/Nights 7p-7a, every other weekend and holiday

Unity Hospital is a 471-bed community hospital in the town of Greece. After a four-year total renovation in 2014, Unity is now the only Monroe County hospital to feature all private patient rooms and free parking. ATTRIBUTES
Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or equivalent required.
Current LPN licensure in the State of New York
BLS Certification from American Heart Association
RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Care & Service. Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervise assigned team members
Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation using computerized medical record process
Preparation. Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
