Rochester Hearing & Speech Center (RHSC) is one of the area’s most experienced and longest standing provider of hearing, speech-language, educational, clinical, and developmental services for children ages Newborn to Five with unique needs. Your work will help children develop essential communication skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential, while also providing vital support and resources to their families. We are currently hiring for Full-Time ( 10 or 12 months / year ) Speech Language Pathologist to join our incredible team! Responsibilities :

  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists. Reviews patients’ functional needs and adjusts care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporates participation by significant others whenever it seems appropriate.
  • Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care.
  • Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.
  • Communicates effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Practices hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans. Regularly updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signatures.
  • Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops. Keeps up to date on professional literature.
  • Requirements :

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by ASHA
  • strong Clinical Fellowship candidates will be considered)
  • NYS license to practice Speech-Language Pathology (or CF)
  • Certified Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabled or Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped
  • Candidates must have a reliable transportation if travelling to multiple locations
  • Physical requirements include : Standing, walking, frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching
