The mission of the NTID Office of External Affairs is to provide institute leadership in high quality and coordinated engagement of alumni, parents, retirees, corporate partners, community organizations, partner not-for-profits and other organizations. Through its work, the office will increase philanthropic support of the institute; identify and grow revenue generating programs through contract work with corporations and other organizations, and build a network of partners to increase nationwide visibility and assist NTID is realizing its enrollment, employment, constituent engagement and research goals.

Job Summary
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily operation of the NTID Dyer Arts Center, including staffing, budgeting, marketing, and installing and deinstalling exhibits.
- Manages all aspects of events taking place in and associated with the Dyer Arts Center, including responsibility for working with the event "customer" to ensure the goals of the event are met, and that the event happens within budget. Staffs all events, providing customer service and resolving issues as needed.
- Develops and executes events and programming related to the Dyer Arts Center's exhibitions and/or mission statement
- Creates and develops written and video content for online outreach to publicize Dyer Arts Center exhibits and events
Required Qualifications:
- Three (3) years' experience in museum/art gallery settings, education, outreach, event planning, exhibition planning or related experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Working knowledge of Deaf art history
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail is required
- Excellent written creative and communications skills
- Fantastic customer service ethics and high expectations for quality Experience with Deaf Culture and ability to communicate in American Sign Language or willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced ability/proficiency/fluency in American Sign Language communication skills
- Experience working with financial management software
- Experience working with event management software
- Experience in educational outreach programming
