Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Gift and Data Processing, the Gift and Data Integrity Specialist is responsible to access, monitor and maintain the accuracy, integrity, and quality of the alumni, donor, and gift records in the administrative database known as Advance for the Division of University Advancement. This role will maintain a systematic approach to keeping the records accurate and contribute to data enhancement projects. The Gift and Data Integrity Specialist is considered an in-house expert related to data values and the interpretation of data on donors/companies and their pledge and payment histories.
This role is responsible for the daily recording of outright gifts, matching gifts, pledges, and pledge payments accepted on behalf of the University. Specializes in and administers the OnBase documentation platform for the division. Ensures that all gifts are recorded and receipted in accordance with RIT, CASE, and IRS regulations and policies.

Job Responsibilities:
- Leads the recording of gifts made through various donation methods and files all related documentation on a daily basis.
- Evaluate all outright gifts, matching gifts, pledges, and pledge payments to determine appropriate donor credits, funds, and appeals and ensures all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Leads the review and production of gift receipts following RIT, CASE, and IRS guidelines
- Executes biographic update processes to include accurate analysis, entry, and follow-up of all biographic updates in a timely and accurate manner.
- Continually improves the information entered and managed in the donor database by participating in various data integrity projects whether independently led or with a team. Interact with a cross-functional work team to provide customer support to RIT's Division of Development and Alumni Relations, and all users of RIT's donor management systems.
- Support division efforts in data integrity and evaluate statistics related to data quality metrics, including completeness, validity, consistency, and integrity, and make recommendations for improvement. Discuss data integrity business problems and needs with divisional staff and management and convert those needs into data or system requirements.
- Assists the Director of Gift and Data Processing in the research and resolution of data and gift errors. Following organizational procedures notifies team members when resolution steps have been executed.

- Reviews and refines Gift Office policies and procedures.
- Offers high-caliber customer service to donors and other university stakeholders.
- Actively participates in ad-hoc projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Commensurate experience in an accounting, higher education or fundraising environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite; including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to work as an integral member of a team.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong degree of ethics due to working in a highly confidential environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collectively
- Must be able to exercise initiative, independent good judgment when faced with unclear or questionable data and be able to extrapolate intent from non-standard submissions.
- Must be able to successfully manage multiple priorities and projects within tight department metrics and deadlines, as well as ability to manage conflicting priorities and projects.

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with donor management software is a plus.
