Under the guidance and creative direction of the manager, employ photographic skills, creativity, and knowledge of photography software to capture, edit, and deliver impactful images, using both natural and artificial lighting. Produce photography for RIT's marketing campaigns, websites, print publications, news coverage, social media endeavors, student and faculty portfolios, and other uses as deemed appropriate by the manager.

Under the guidance and creative direction of the manager, employ photographic skills, creativity, and knowledge of photography software to capture, edit, and deliver impactful images, using both natural and artificial lighting. Produce photography for RIT's marketing campaigns, websites, print publications, news coverage, social media endeavors, student and faculty portfolios, and other uses as deemed appropriate by the manager.
- Responsible for cataloging imagery based on established archival workflow. Enhance the photography catalog with select images per guidelines established by Assistant Director of University Photography Services and Director of University Web Services.
- Hire, train, mentor, and deploy student photographers as needed.
- Create project estimates and work on billing on a regular basis. Collect and archive model releases. Maintain camera and studio equipment and make recommendations for equipment purchases
- Work with Assistant Director of University Photography Services and cross-functional business partners, for example, marketers, designers, writers, web developers, social media managers, and other communications experts to determine visual potential and execute the agreed plan. Partner with and support other photographers in the team and at the University to work on campaigns and other photography projects.
- Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming industry trends in photography. Pursue continual skills enhancement on photography, and media technology.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience/Education:
- Two to four years photography experience.
- Bachelor's or Equivalent experience
Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interact with customers. Must be able to put customers at ease, communicate with them and make them feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera.
- Good understanding of professional photography equipment not limited to cameras, lenses and lights.
- Good understanding of professional lighting techniques in the studio environment and on location.
- Ability to supervise professional and student production assistants.
- Ability to budget time and schedule resources effectively.
- Good verbal and written skills.
