Job Description
The Salvage Vehicle Crusher Crew is responsible for working as a team to assist with crushing salvaged vehicles and other materials, ensuring that all materials are properly segregated and prepared for sale to customers, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work as a team to help the process of crushing salvaged vehicles and other materials.
Ensure that all materials are properly segregated and prepared for sale to customers, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, tires, and batteries.
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials.
Foster positive relationships with customers and vendors to encourage repeat business and maintain a positive reputation in the industry.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all employees are adhering to environmental regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yards.
Proficiency in basic math skills and computer skills.
Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
