Position Overview:
This position is available as either a full-time or part-time role, with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday—no nights or weekends required. As a Paralegal at Piede Law Firm, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality legal support and ensuring clients receive exceptional service from the moment they walk through our doors. Providing each client with an attentiveness, courteousness, and warmth is essential and reflects our firm’s commitment to excellent client care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents related to Medicaid and/or Estate Administration
- Manage and organize client files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and properly maintained
- Conduct legal research and gather information relevant to cases
- Communicate with clients, providing updates on their cases and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with external parties such as financial institutions and government agencies to obtain required documentation
- Support the attorney with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Literacy with regard to financial statements: investment accounts, IRAs, annuities, life insurance
- Knowledge of funding processes, including the ability to identify opportunities, obtain and review financial statements, gather required authorizations, and manage follow-ups with institutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with HotDocs, if applying for Estate Administration position
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with a self-driven, analytical, and organized approach
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and address issues before they escalate
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when interacting with clients and their families
- A team player who contributes to a collaborative and respectful work environment
