What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Batchmaker position at Rochester Midland Corporation?
Rochester Midland Corporation is searching for an experienced Sr. Batchmaker candidate for their Aurora IL location. The Sr Batchmaker sets up, operates, and tends to machines to mix or blend chemicals. He/she reads instructions and prepares products according to established Batch Ticket instructions and is responsible for producing batches safely while maintaining all production and quality standards. The Sr. Batchmaker is also responsible for performing specialized kettle cleaning and preparation processes, and are capable of mixing any and all formulas.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Acquires “Batch Ticket” for each manufacturing job per Supervisors instructions. Works with Production Fork Lift Operator to coordinate delivery of raw materials for each manufacturing job to the chemical mezzanine for the batch making process.
- Calibrates meters as needed for delivery of raw material to manufacturing kettles.
- Feeds raw materials into the manufacturing kettles using air pumps or other means in accordance with each batch ticket.
- Tests finished product as needed based on the test sheet. Makes adjustments when necessary.
- Maintains production and time records, as required on batch ticket.
- Sanitizes kettles when needed.
- Produces products in accordance with process sheets.
- Adheres to all safety, OSHA, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements including proper respirator fit testing and usage once trained
- Maintains high quality standards, as required, through regular quality checks.
- Maintains work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures and requirements to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Performs such similar, comparable, or related duties as required, such as working in other areas as necessary.
EDUCATION/ SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:
Three to five years of RMC batch making experience.
