Job Overview
We are seeking a high character individual with a great work ethic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. However, we are willing to consider an impressive individual with no experience. After orientation, this role will require proficiency in various painting techniques, drywall and an understanding of construction processes. The Painter will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes on a variety of surfaces while ensuring proper preparation procedures to protect the homeowner's home.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections, as well as covering all areas to be protected.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Perform drywall installation, finishing, repairs and stucco application as needed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and maintenance person staff, to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
- Complete projects within specified timelines while adhering to quality standards.
Experience (if claimed)
- Proven experience in construction painting, including both residential and commercial projects.
- Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities.
- Experience with frame carpentry is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of drywall installation and repair techniques is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in various environments.
