- In lieu of college credits or degree, one can complete the Paraeducator Assessments. The passing scores in Minnesota are 65% and 70% .

- The test is available to applicants who are presented an official job offer from the Rochester Public School District.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience with behavior management strategies.
- Data collection.
- Flexibility and the ability to work as a cooperative team member.
- Good organizational skills.
- Willing to be trained in crises prevention techniques and physical intervention.
- Positive rapport with children including the ability to correct inappropriate student behavior with fairness and consistency.
- Regular, on-time attendance is required.
- Previous experience in the extended school year program preferred.
- Most ESY programs involve some bending and lifting.
- If you are not available to work the entire ESY session, you will be responsible for securing a substitute for the days you are absent.

LOCATION: ESC, Phoenix Academy, & RAIL
WORK SCHEDULE: Work day/Training Day - June 9; Student Days - June 10-12, June 17-18, and June 24-26
WORK HOURS: Staff Hours; 8:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. Student Hours; 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
REPORTS TO: Principal/Assistant PrincipaL and Special Education Director
SALARY: Employee's contracted hourly rate or minimum of $22.25 (Intensive) per hour and $21.25 (Specialized) per hour.
Other Information:
We believe that all students can learn and that motivating students is an essential part of teaching.
Students in these programs are invited to participate because they are at risk of not meeting proficiency.
