Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist Specialist
Department: Pharmacy | SPECIALTY
Location: Rochester General Hospital
Hours Per Week: 40 Hours
Schedule: Flexible schedule, Monday-Friday, day shift; Every 8th weekend coverage
SUMMARY:
As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you’ll provide clinical pharmacy services in a professional and competent manner to assure rational and appropriate drug therapy to the patients within our Emergency Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Medication Management. Provides pharmacotherapy expertise in emergency medication to optimize patient care.
Training. Provide didactic and experiential training for Pharmacy Students, Pharmacy Residents, and other health care providers.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration. Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams across the health system.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of residency OR fellowship training OR board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties. The employee may be working towards board certification as part of a timeline mutually agreed upon by the employee and supervisor.
Licensure as a Pharmacist in New York State.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a broad scope and depth of emergency medicine knowledge, clinical skills and function well on multidisciplinary teams.
Extensive experience as an Emergency Department Pharmacist.
Advanced understanding of hospital pharmacy.

EDUCATION:
- BS: Pharmacy (Required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $126,400.00 - $167,500.00
