SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Radiation Therapist, the Radiation Therapist Assistant will be responsible for supporting and assisting in the daily operation of the department.
STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Radiation Therapy
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday | 8am-4:30pm
ATTRIBUTES
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in a clinical, bed-side setting with an emphasis on patient care
- Strong customer service, computer, and communication skills
RESPONSIBILITES
Patient Support:
- Assist with patient changing and positioning
- Help with patient transport
- Address patient concerns and direct to staff
- Collect patient info and vitals
Operational Support:
- Stock treatment rooms
- Schedule treatments and complete billing
- Gather QA data and order supplies
Clinical Assistance:
- Prepare treatment rooms and immobilization devices
- Assist with chart rounds and couriering charts
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $19.00 - $23.50
