What You'll Do
As the Medical Director of Adult Emergency Medicine, you will :
Split your time 25% clinical and 75% administrative , balancing hands-on patient care with strategic leadership responsibilities.
Supervise and mentor a team of physicians and advanced practice providers.
Oversee daily operations of a high-acuity adult emergency department, managing scheduling, performance evaluations, and quality assurance.
Lead initiatives to standardize care protocols, monitor key metrics, and drive quality improvements across Rochester General Hospital and the RRH system.
Represent the department in hospital committees, community outreach, and media relations as a trusted leader and spokesperson.
Partner with hospital administration on strategic planning, budgeting, and enhancing emergency department performance.
What You Bring
Board Certification : Required in Emergency Medicine.
Licensure : Active New York State medical license (or eligibility)
Certifications : Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications.
Experience : 3-5 years of clinical experience required. Leadership experience in a high-volume emergency department preferred.
