JOB TITLE: Academic Evaluator
REPORTS TO: Director of Student Services, or Designee

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Academic Evaluator is responsible for conducting comprehensive academic evaluations within a public school district to assess student performance, educational needs, and achievement levels. The role involves the use of standardized testing, data analysis, and collaboration with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to provide data-driven insights that support student learning and development. The Academic Evaluator will contribute to the creation of academic intervention plans and support the district's continuous improvement efforts.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct thorough academic evaluations for students across all grade levels, utilizing both formative and summative assessment tools to measure academic performance, learning progress, and areas for growth.
Administer and score standardized tests, diagnostic assessments, and other evaluation tools in accordance with district protocols and guidelines.
Analyze student data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights for educators and school administrators.
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to interpret academic data and make recommendations for instructional strategies, accommodations, and interventions.
Prepare and deliver clear, comprehensive evaluation reports detailing findings, recommendations, and proposed next steps for individual students or groups of students.
Maintain up-to-date records and documentation for all evaluation activities, ensuring compliance with district policies and state/federal regulations.
Provide guidance and professional development to educators and staff on best practices for academic evaluation and data interpretation.
Assist in the development of district-wide assessment strategies and tools to improve student learning outcomes.
Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in academic assessment and evaluation.
Participate in meetings, conferences, and other professional activities to support ongoing improvement of the district’s academic evaluation processes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree
Master’s degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
Certification in Special Education, General Education, or other related fields.
Experience working in a public school district and familiarity with K-12 education systems and student learning needs is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational evaluation, academic assessment, or related fields (preferred).
JOB TYPE: SCHOOL YEAR
This is a 7.5 hour work day 185 day position with paid sick days, paid holidays, and PTO days.
Pay: Determined through the teacher’s collective bargaining agreement
