JOB TITLE: Wellness Instructor
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
LOCATION: Multiple Openings and Locations Incluidng SHS, RMS and Elementary Schools

POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is accountable for providing supervision and instruction to students who are experiencing episodes of dysregulation and need monitoring, goal setting, and/or development of coping strategies in order to return to the classroom. This position will also be accountable for providing supervision and instruction for students who demonstrate social, emotional and behavioral concerns and need skill development in decision making, conduct, restorative practices, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and manage community resources to support student success across four domains: 1) Academic; 2) College/Career; 3) Family; and 4) Health/Wellness.Create school-based staff teams, procedures, and policies that support positive school culture and triage student needs and arrange the appropriate intervention.
Create effective linkages or pathways to community social services.
Systematically identify individual student needs in key academic and non-academic areas.
Integrate behavioral health and positive behavioral strategies throughout the school.
Ensure the delivery of school and community resources, tailoring services to student needs (including prevention, enrichment, early intervention, and intensive/crisis response).
Track, measure, and monitor data to map effectiveness
Monitor and implement components, indicators, and measures of the school accountability plan relevant to wraparound services supporting school and student success.
Engage in Restorative Practices to repair the harm.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's level in a relevant field.Experience with Restorative Practices.
Prior experience developing successful community coalitions to support youth.
Prior experience developing the capacity of parents as educational partners to support student positive student outcomes
Successful advocate for families.
COMPENSATION, WORK DAY, AND WORK YEAR:
In accordance with the Teacher’s collective bargaining agreement.185 days
Compensation is based upon the Teacher’s collective bargaining agreement.
