Detailer
Job Summary: Reporting to the Detail Supervisor or designated manager, the detailer is responsible for completing the reconditioning process for vehicles consigned for the auction.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following:
1. Prepare vehicles for the auction by performing a variety of vehicle reconditioning tasks: interior detailing, upholstery detailing, window cleaning, exterior wash and/or buff.
2. Inspect the quality of work performed prior to moving vehicle to the next stage.
3. Follow safe working procedures and reporting procedures for injuries, loss or damage of property.
4. May be responsible to locate redemption units upon request
5. On designated days or as needed, sweep and mop all common areas of the auction building.
6. On designated days or as needed, remove all trash and debris from the various areas of the auction.
7. On designated days or as needed, clean restrooms and replenish all soap and personal items as necessary.
8. On designated days or as needed, clean auction block area weekly to include removing trash, dusting and sweeping. Monitors should be wiped down with a dry cloth to remove dust and other debris.
9. As needed, wash windows in all common areas.
10. As needed, ensure entrance and areas outside of sales arena are free and clear of debris prior to sale.
11. Perform any other cleaning and custodial duties as directed by Detail Supervisor or other manager.
12. Monitor inventory of janitorial supplies and advise supervisor or manager in writing of supplies needed.
13. Seasonal snow/ice removal from walkways, lot, vehicles, entry ways or as directed by manager.
14. Seasonal lawn/grounds care including lawn mowing, weed removal, trach pick up on auction premises.
15. Other duties as assigned such as assisting other areas of the auction including but not limited to moving cars or transporting of cars.
16. Provide excellent customer service. Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
17. Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment and friendly disposition.
18. Maintain and assure good operating condition of all equipment. Advise manager of all breakdowns and maintenance needs.
19. Maintain work area and conditions to ensure a safe environment for all employees and customers. Report to and follow proper company policy involving accidents, customer or employee injuries, and loss or damage to property. Report all incidents to the manager.
20. Comply with all job-related safety and health procedures
21. Perform other duties as assigned by manager
22. Practice and promote teamwork at all times by setting a good example of attitude and performance.
23. Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner and advise Management of all serious complaints or incidences.
24. Advise the manager or supervisor immediately of all serious complaints or incidents
Job Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
3. Must not be under the influence of any condition or substance that could distract or impair the ability to safely and efficiently operate a motor vehicle.
4. Must maintain valid driver’s license and report any infractions which could affect validity of license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.73 per hour
