JOB TITLE: Admissions Recruiter - Lead and Visit Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead and Visit Coordinator supports Rochester Christian University’s student recruitment efforts by identifying and engaging prospective students, coordinating campus visits, and planning recruitment events while seeking to be part of a dynamic learning community.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 1-3 years of experience in recruiting, enrollment advising, sales or marketing
- Bachelor Degree in related field
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leverage Admissions department resources, student lists, and lead generation tools to identify prospective undergraduate students and actively encourage them to apply and visit campus.
- Meet or exceed individual recruitment goals, application targets, and activity benchmarks through strategic and personalized efforts.
- Represent Rochester Christian University (RCU) at high schools, community colleges, churches, college fairs, and other events to recruit prospective students and build awareness of RCU programs.
- Prioritize timely communication with prospective students using a variety of platforms, including email, phone calls, text messages, social media, handwritten notes, and in-person or virtual campus visits.
- Fully utilize the features of SalesForce CRM to document and manage all interactions and activities with prospective students, ensuring consistent follow-up and tracking throughout the admissions process.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of RCU's undergraduate academic programs, policies, and procedures, as well as an understanding of graduate programs to assist with recruitment for those offerings when needed.
- Act as an ambassador for RCU, effectively promoting the university to prospective students, families, and community stakeholders.
- Under the guidance of the admissions leadership team, lead in planning and executing 4-8 RCU-sponsored student recruitment events annually, such as Warrior Days, and oversee individual campus visits to provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Build and sustain relationships with community college administrators, staff, and faculty to create and maintain partnerships that support student recruitment.
- Develop and oversee a content calendar for RCU Admissions’ social media platforms, crafting compelling posts that highlight campus life, academic programs, and opportunities to engage prospective students.
- Actively promote an inclusive and welcoming environment at RCU by demonstrating alignment with the university's Diversity Statement. Participate in training and initiatives that enhance understanding and awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion within higher education and the admissions field.
- Host and engage with prospective students and their families during RCU-sponsored recruitment events, ensuring a positive and informative experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Admissions department and overall university recruitment efforts.
- Coordinate efforts with the Director of Early College to encourage students currently enrolled in the RCU Early College program to stay at RCU during their fifth year and eventually matriculate as traditional students. This includes maintaining contact with Early College students and their parents.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be a self-starter, willing to take initiative to explore new opportunities and act on them.
- Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills including the ability to talk, listen, and effectively communicate over the telephone for extended periods of time.
- Ability to make frequent public presentations to a variety of audiences, including informational/orientation sessions that typically involve intensive interaction and Q&A with prospective and current students, academic advisors, business community, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; knowledge of SalesForce HEDA is a plus
- Self-motivated, resourceful and creative
- Ability to portray a professional image
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff, faculty and administration
- Ability to travel extensively, including out of state travel
- Ability to work nights and weekends
