The Rochester location is Röchling Medical's center of excellence for the production of surgical forceps for minimally invasive electrosurgical devices and also offers a broad portfolio of plastic injection molded parts and value-added assembly work for the medical industry. With its technical expertise, the team in Rochester can support customers as a contract manufacturer for the entire product lifecycle from concept to complete approved medical device.
Summary
The Inspector is responsible for the inspection and testing of manufacturing processes and products to ensure product quality. The Inspector will work with a variety of inspection and test equipment and methods, processes and products, ensuring proper procedures are followed and documented to maintain product quality and records traceability. The Inspector will also assist in ensuring the inspection status is communicated, non-conforming product is appropriately identified and removed from the production flow until such product can be dispositioned.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct statistical analysis on select processes and report findings.
· Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results.
· Ensure incoming materials comply with required specifications.
· Ensure outgoing products follow required specifications.
· Provide detailed quality reports
· Other duties as required by quality management.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Complete Inspections per Inspection Instructions
· Create Inspection reports
· Determine lot acceptance
· Identify nonconforming product and place it on hold
· Communicate inspection status through email, verbal, and ERP communication tools
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Determine AQL sample sizes based on lot sizes
· Advanced print reading skills.
· Basic shop math.
· Familiarity with dimensional inspection gages.
· QC-Calc measurement software
· CMM, and surface plate measuring techniques
· Strong work ethic.
· Strong ability to work without supervision.
· Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
· Proficient with ERP systems such as Business Central
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years’ related experience is required.
