Description
- Wash all wares for the kitchen, restaurant, and banquets in dish washing machine or by hand ensuring to handle all wares carefully to minimize breakage
- Collect trash from kitchen areas; empty garbage barrels; wash and re-line containers with new bags; dispose of used grease
- Examine garbage for silverware, dishes and glassware
- Wash all stainless steel in kitchen, including shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, coffee areas, range hoods, refrigerators, walk-ins, etc. and store all dishes and wares in proper areas
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors
- Clean dish machine after each meal period
- Assist in food preparation, putting away deliveries, cleaning coolers, freezers and storerooms etc.
- Continuously inspect floors in kitchen areas to ensure they remain clean, clear of debris, and dry
- Clean and safely store all brooms, mops, and other cleaning equipment in its' proper place
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be well groomed and have a professional appearance at all times while on property
- Must be able to be cross trained in all areas of the kitchen
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to tolerate dishwashing and cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
