What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outdoor Activity Team Member position at Rock Creek Cattle Company?
Rock Creek Cattle Company is a 30,000-acre historic Montana working cattle ranch, traversed by streams and framed by mountains. Besides being a working cattle ranch, we are a private members club. We ensure members and guests who live and visit the ranch have a great time. Our ranch has a Top 100 golf course in the world, restaurant, spa, pool, pro shop and fly shop.
This is a seasonal position that typically runs May to late November.
This is an opportunity to work in our Outdoor Adventures Department as a guide. We offer a wide list of excursions including: fly fishing, hiking, horseback riding, shooting, archery, UTV rides and whitewater rafting. We also run Carol Ann's Mercantile which provides our members with a boutique, basic necessities, souvenirs and fly shop. All outdoor adventure trips take place from here. Using a truck or UTV guides take members and/or guests to their activity. Guides are responsible for leading members on their pre-arranged activities. This includes ensuring a safe environment, providing expert information about the activity as well as creating a fun and memorable experience.
When not guiding, employees will be asked to complete routine maintenance. This includes but is not limited to initiating projects, cleaning UTVs, maintaining safe and clean work environment, organizing equipment, maintaining and working on equipment and general ranch maintenance.

*Limited availability. Candidates request housing through the hiring manager. Housing is not guaranteed. Rent is $350/month for housing if approved. At this time we are not allowing new pets.
Qualifications
- Communicate professionally, efficiently and personably with guests, members and vendors.
- Communicate professionally, efficiently and personably with all staff, to help ensure a cooperative environment.
- Adhere to all Rock Creek and department safety requirements and policies.
- Follow Company policies and expectations outlined in the employee handbook, property notifications, memos and job description.
- Maintain a clean professional appearance that adheres to the dress code requirements outlined in the employee handbook.
- Responsible for reporting accurate work hours on timecards and submitting them in a timely manner using a system put in place by the management.
- Must be willing to work a variety of days, evening, holiday and weekend shifts. Often times working 6 days and 40 hours a week.
- Must be able to exert up to 150 pounds of force occasionally and constantly lift, carry, pull or push up to 75 pounds.
- May be required to drive a company vehicle to carry out job duties.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must represent Rock Creek Cattle Company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
