As an Event Facilities Technician, you’ll be part of the Rock Events team. You’ll assist the team by maintaining and cleaning the multiple event spaces in the Bedrock portfolio. You’ll be responsible for setting up event furniture and assisting clients and vendors with their onsite events. We are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter who responds with a sense of urgency and is always looking for ways to improve event venues and client experience. About The Role
- Review event details with the onsite Sales Manager and prioritize the task list for a given event
- Regularly rearrange, remove and replace furniture per the event floor plan
- Set up and remove dance floors, stages and risers
- Assist vendors and clients with loading in and out of the venue
- Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of event spaces
- Wipe down all hard surfaces, clean all glass, sweep/mop floors, shovel snow, power wash event rooftops, detail clean rooftop grills and hood vents, vacuum carpeted areas, organize cabinets and more
- Refresh restrooms and change trash bins before, during and after events
- Assist with client and guest requests and needs while onsite
- Adjust lighting, music volumes and temperature as needed before and during the event
- Occasionally operate forklifts for vendor load in and out
- Track event supplies and equipment, carefully store furnishings when not in use, and promptly report repair and maintenance needs
- Demonstrate an understanding of day-to-day responsibilities and perform them without being told to do so
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a routine basis
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including regular mandatory overtime, evenings and weekends
- Basic computer skills preferred
