The Surgical First Assist supports surgeons during procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment. Responsibilities include:
- Preoperative: Prepare the operating room and review patient history.
- Intraoperative: Assist during surgery and maintain a sterile field.
- Postoperative: Help transfer patients and document procedures.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments
- 3-5 years as a Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
- NBSTSA and CSFA Certifications required
