Job Summary: New Hope’s Education Department has an immediate opening for a Non-Certified Teacher. This position provides an appropriate education for children enrolled in our on-site, accredited school.
This position provides an education experience for residents, whose emotional, cognitive, or physical disabilities impair their ability to be successful in a classroom setting. The unique job responsibilities outlined are designed with a focus on safety and engagement to offer quality educational programming.
Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of a state-certified teacher, develops and implements individualized learning plans.
- Under the supervision of a state-certified teacher, gathers and interprets a variety of data to inform instruction.
- Under the supervision of a state-certified teacher, provides a therapeutic and safe education environment.
- Under the supervision of a state-certified teacher, designs and implements engaging and differentiated lesson plans.
- Participates in multidisciplinary meetings.
- Under the supervision of a state-certified teacher, completes all required documentation accurately and within
- Participates in professional development activities.
- Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Adheres to all department and organization policies and procedures.
- Performs any additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or prior teaching experience
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Basic technology proficiency
- Proficient in high school Math and English/Language Arts
