Description
Summary Job Description
This position is responsible for reading the work orders and cutting material as instructed for upholstered furniture.
Essential Duties
- Verifies that fabric and pattern correspond to the work order
- Inspects fabric for defects and verifies the dye lots
- Locates correct pattern and checks swatches for proper alignment of fabric
- Pulls correct pattern and puts away when done
- Marks out the fabric and cuts to proper size and shape
- Marks and bundles all parts together and places in proper area for pick-up
- Records all yardages used on ticket
- Required to 4-way match fabric
- Places cut rolls in proper area for pick-up
- Maintains equipment and work area in an orderly manner
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous marking/cutting experience a plus
