Position Overview:
This position is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking and auditing inventory, coordinating with internal customers, and implementing best practices in inventory control. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods.
- Audit physical inventory counting between manufacturing and warehousing facilities and High Point showrooms.
- Analyze inventory reporting errors and reconcile discrepancies.
- Track and manage slow-moving or obsolete inventory, ensuring proper disposition.
Data Entry and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records in the inventory management system.
- Maintain/create inventory counting schedules (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly).
- Generate reports on inventory trends, usage, and discrepancies for management review.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Communication & Coordination
- Assist with inventory-related training for internal customers.
- Address inventory-related issues promptly to avoid production and shipping delays.
Other
- Other ad hoc projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Prior experience with inventory management is preferred.
- Prior experience with SAP is preferred.
- Intermediate Excel skills are required while advanced Excel is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Traveling to company facilities is required.
