Description
Position Summary
Responsible for safely setting up, maintaining, and operating moulding machines for upscale furniture
Position Details
- Sets up and/or adjust any moulder in plant
- Checks stock at beginning and during run for condition of moulding
- Makes rough visual inspection of all parts and discards cull pieces
- Checks against sketches or master patterns
- Helps count parts when run is complete
- Checks condition of knives, heads, and other parts of moulder as necessary
- Takes knives to file room for storage and/or sharpening
- May operate Mould Sander machine
- Observes plant safety rules
- Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous moulding operator experience preferred
