Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the development and administration of efficient and professional operations of occupational health services in accordance with company policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives.
Position Details:
- Provides medical treatment/first aid following on-the-job injuries.
- Assist employees in navigating health care system following occupational injuries, including providing transportation to/from facilities when needed.
- Assists in Workers Compensation Case Management. Assure appropriate care and return to work.
- Assist Human Resources in Disability Accommodation requests.
- Provide direction and clinical expertise for safety and ergonomics
- Schedules / orders pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion substance use testing.
- Schedules evaluations in compliance with Hearing Conservation Program.
- Provides/maintains PPE and first aid inventory
- Schedules/maintains Prescription Safety Glasses Program.
- Maintains safety documentation in support of OSHA and other reporting/regulatory agencies.
- Assists in maintenance of safety training program/safety committee assessments and meetings.
- Maintains a professional and organized Employee Health space.
- Assists employees in completing FMLA and Disability Claim forms.
- Must be able to maintain strict employee privacy in accordance with HIPAA Regulations.
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- 2 years of Clinical Experience required. Preference given to candidates with prior occupational health/safety experience. High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred. Candidates required to have active current license / credential in one or more of the following: Certified Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong PC skills. Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- This position requires excellent communication skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to multi-task and have good organizational skills.
