What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Manager position at Rock House?
We are looking for a Payroll Manager to lead our payroll functions. Responsibilities will include managing and guaranteeing weekly disbursement of multi-company payrolls, benefits, and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
Our ideal candidate is analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and thorough knowledge of payroll regulation. We also value integrity, team spirit, and strong organization skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain/manage timekeeping and payroll systems
- Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and internal policies
- Communicate actively with HR and Accounting Team to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing
- Maintain accurate records and manage regular preparation of relevant payroll reports, including gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.
- Ability to resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions
- Supervise and coach payroll assistant
