Position Summary
The IT Security Analyst is responsible for supporting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Global Critical Logistics’ assets. This role includes responding to security incidents, identifying threats and vulnerabilities, and mapping organizational risk to develop mitigating controls. The IT Security Analyst will work closely with the IT Security Manager to improve the cybersecurity posture of the organization.

Position Summary
The IT Security Analyst is responsible for supporting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Global Critical Logistics’ assets. This role includes responding to security incidents, identifying threats and vulnerabilities, and mapping organizational risk to develop mitigating controls. The IT Security Analyst will work closely with the IT Security Manager to improve the cybersecurity posture of the organization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Thoroughly investigate security alerts and incidents, providing detailed reports on findings and actions.
- Develop and implement procedures and best practices to protect assets and ensure policy and regulation compliance.
- Perform regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks as well as protect the effectiveness of security controls.
- Collaborate with business leaders on projects, tools, and workflows to establish strong security practices while maintaining our competitive advantage.
- Plan and schedule with the broader IT group to complete timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Provide cybersecurity training, both formal and impromptu, to employees of Global Critical Logistics to strengthen the internal understanding of cybersecurity.
- Continually stay-up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, best practices, and technologies.
- Candidate can work remotely from any location within the US, but must be able to travel to company locations at least 25% of the time.
- Must have a valid US passport or can obtain a passport within 3 months of hiring.
- 5 to 10 years of IT experience, with at least 1 year of cybersecurity experience.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals such as risk management, networking and communications security, identity management, and security assessments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with c-suite and legal counsel.
- The ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- An intense attention to detail.
- Sharp problem-solving and lateral thinking skills.
- Cross-functional thinking to improve the cybersecurity posture and competitiveness of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education experience.
- Networking experience such as routing and network architecture.
- Experience implementing and supporting cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or CIS CSC.
- Understanding of global privacy and cybersecurity regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, or SOX.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CASP
