Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a clinical or hospital setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting nursing staff with patient care, maintaining a safe environment, and promoting overall health.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Help patients with mobility, including lifting and transferring them safely.
- Provide support to patients with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans and report any changes in patient conditions.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation purposes.
- Assist in the management of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as needed.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to anatomy knowledge and patient care techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is advantageous.
- Experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a plus.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is beneficial for effective patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.
