Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical nursing, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires expertise in diagnostic evaluation, patient assessment, and knowledge of anatomy, as well as experience in a Level I Trauma Center. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care during surgical procedures.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to surgery, ensuring all necessary information is gathered for optimal care.
• Assist in the preparation of the operating room and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels throughout the surgical procedure.
• Provide support during surgeries by anticipating the needs of the surgical team and facilitating smooth operations.
• Participate in discharge planning by educating patients about post-operative care and recovery processes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to surgical procedures and outcomes.
• Stay current with best practices in internal medicine, ophthalmology, and home care to provide comprehensive support to patients.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Proven experience in an Operating Room setting, preferably within a Level I Trauma Center.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
• Familiarity with workers' compensation law as it pertains to surgical care.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with medical teams and patient education.
• Ability to ventilate patients as needed during surgical procedures.
• A commitment to providing compassionate care while ensuring patient safety at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $2,538.20 - $2,666.00 per week
