COOK/KITCHEN STAFF JOB DESCRIPTION
Our kitchen is looking for skilled kitchen staff members to join our team. You will be asked to assist with food preparation, clean the kitchen, wash dishes, prepare simple meals, and more.
Kitchen Staff Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Set up workstations with all the necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Check quality of ingredients
- Prepare ingredients for the days usage.
- Cook various menu items according to restaurant recipes.
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
- Keep a sanitized and organized environment in the kitchen.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly and at the correct temperature.
- Check kitchen inventory and restock items as needed.
- Assist other team members.
- Report any mishaps in the kitchen to management.
- Help in the unloading of deliveries.
- Adhere to all food safety standards.
Kitchen Staff Qualifications/Skills:
- Restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
- Comfortable with managing competing priorities in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Existing knowledge of food safety procedures preferred.
- Outstanding time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently with all the kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in collaboration with the team members.
- Food handlers license a plus.
