Job Summary
The Front of House Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment, overseeing all front-of-house activities and staff. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing the dining experience, and maintaining high standards of food service management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry, particularly in restaurant or hotel settings.
Duties
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Manage and train staff, including hiring, interviewing, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Develop training programs to enhance staff skills in food production and service.
- Coordinate catering service to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and service.
- Create a weekly schedule and keep up with staff needs.
- Place biweekly alcohol orders while maintaining inventory with occasional BOH ordering responsibility.
- Handle all cash payments and make weekly deposits.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management, preferably in a restaurant or hotel environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Experience in staff training and development, with a focus on enhancing service quality.
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems for efficient operations management.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
