Job Description:
We are looking for skilled and passionate Sushi Chefs to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. In this role, you will prepare high-quality sushi dishes, maintain kitchen standards, and ensure consistency in menu execution. Onsite training is available for the right candidates, must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a chef in a full service restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present sushi dishes according to restaurant standards
Follow directions and replicate menu items accurately
Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to maintain workflow
Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of kitchen chef experience in a full-service restaurant
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Ability to follow directions and replicate menu items consistently
Strong knife skills
Ability to stand on feet for several hours
Work well with others in a team-oriented environment
Effective communication skills and fluency in English
Previous sushi experience is recommended but not necessary
Skills & Experience:
Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Passion for Japanese cuisine and willingness to learn
