Crane Operator
Location: Graniteville, VT
Entry Date: April 2025
Rock of Ages has an opening for a Crane Operator position to join our production team at at our Graniteville, VT plant. Our craftsmen and craftswomen, cut and transform stone to create beautiful granite products for our valued customers in the U.S. and abroad.
This role requires a hands-on approach, self-motivation, and a commitment to personal and professional development while contributing to the growth and success of our team.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Crane operation
- Washing and boxing stone
- Follow the work standards, rules, methods, and procedures (quality, efficiency, and health & safety)
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Physical Demands:
This position requires being able to lift up to 50lbs and being on feet all day.
The ideal candidate will:
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to work as part of a production team.
- Experience in stone manufacturing is desirable but not required because we will train you.
Working Conditions:
- Employment status: Permanent / Full-time.
- Starting rate $21.00 or higher depending on experience. If you are already in the granite industry, the starting pay would be at the Union bill or negotiable depending on experience.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday with hours beginning either at 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
